Counseling
Trinity Center serves a diverse client population with its counseling
services. People who use this service include men, women, children, adolescents,
single people, married couples, professionals, ministers, and the unemployed.
A distinction of counseling at Trinity Center is that it is not based
solely on a medical model where the client is viewed only as a "sick"
person or as one with a problem to be "solved." We believe that
there is a relationship between the mind, body and soul. Our counseling
approach addresses all three areas. Our counselors incorporate spirituality
and faith into the counseling sessions if a client desires this to be
part of their sessions. Other clients will opt to leave out spiritual
issues and work in a more traditional therapeutic model. Our counselors
respect the individual's decision on how to approach their sessions.
The extensive experience and expertise of our clinicians allows Trinity
Center to offer counseling on a variety of issues. These issues include
but are not limited to:

Due
to the breadth of our clinicians’ expertise, Trinity Center is able
to work with all the individuals involved in an issue. Other counseling
practices must refer some of the individuals to an outside practice. For
example, a family may come to Trinity Center to address their mother’s
depression. The mother may see one clinician who specializes in this issue.
The other family members will work with another clinician on how to deal
with this issue and its affect on the family.
