| Medical
Director Because some people need medical help, our staff includes a medical director who provides psychiatric evaluations, assesses need for medication and monitors progress for these medications. Dr. Chris Aiken, is a graduate of Yale School of Medicine. He did his psychiatric internship at New York Hospital-Cornell and his psychiatric residency at Duke University Medical Center. He has developed additional focus in several key areas: effects of trauma and stress; adult attention deficit disorder; bipolar disorder and treatment of college students. He is the clinical psychiatrist at the student health center at UNC-G and instructor in clinical psychiatry at WFU School of Medicine. Dr. Aiken works closely with our clinicians to ensure that our clients receive the appropriate psychological and medical care. This combined approach has proven very successful in facilitating healing and wholeness for our clients. |
