Our
Ministry
The needs that Trinity Center meets become more apparent everyday. In
recent years, the awareness of mental health issues has increased significantly.
The breakdown of traditional families, increasing personal, political
and economic stress and other life stressors have created problems that
are too difficult to deal with without help. Few families and individuals
have escaped the need for mental health professionals to assist in solving
these problems. Consider these facts*:
• Over 19MM
adults experience depression in their lifetime.
Of these, 2/3 will be women.
• 1 in 5
children and adolescents may have a mental health problem.
At least 1 in 10 may have a serious emotional
disturbance and 2/3 of
these are not getting the help they need.
• 14.8 million
Americans are current users of illicit drugs. Alcoholism affects
approximately 8.2 million. Many teens with
mood disorders abuse alcohol
and drugs.

With all this turmoil, people continue to search for meaning in their
lives. They want answers to tough questions: “Where is God in the
crisis I face?” “Why do I feel so empty even though I have
everything I though I wanted?” “How can I solve my vocational
problems and meet my financial needs?” “How do I develop more
healthy relationships with those around me?” How do I tap my faith
to help me overcome a problem with alcohol?”
Trinity Center has been helping people address these difficult questions
for over 20 years. Its approach is unique in that it integrates mental,
physical and spiritual health. Trinity Center believes that individuals
can achieve wholeness and better address tough questions when they have
an understanding of who they are and who the God is who made them. Trinity
Center offers:
•
Psychological insights that promote greater self-understanding.
• Prayer
guidance that helps persons better understand God.
• Educational/
learning experiences that deepen clients’ understanding
• Physical
and psychiatric care by our Medical Director.
Trinity Center’s emphasis on counseling, spiritual formation, education
and professional services allow clients to begin their journey at the
point of their greatest need and then, as appropriate, move to other areas
that will support and nourish them as they grow.
